OpenGeo Presentations at FOSS4G North America 2013

OpenGeo, the commercial open source provider behind the OpenGeo Suite, will have a strong showing at the second annual FOSS4G North America conference. The gold level sponsor has had nine sessions and three workshops accepted onto the program. The Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial – North America (FOSS4G-NA) conference will be held from May 22nd to 24th, 2013 at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Eddie Pickle, OpenGeo CEO, was pleased with the strong representation from his organization “It’s fulfilling to see the community express interest in the projects we’re working on, and I’m proud of our staff’s open source credentials and credibility.” He continued “OpenGeo has made supporting FOSS4G and OSGeo a top priority; we look forward to joining with our friends and colleagues in Minneapolis.”

A blind community review process resulted in nine OpenGeo presentations accepted for the program, including:

The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium in collaboration with the FOSS4G North American Conference will also be offering workshops on Tuesday, May 21st, the day before the conference begins. Registration for these workshops are being handled by the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium. OpenGeo staff will be leading sessions on PostGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers.
