OpenGeo and Tascomi Announce Partnership to Support Users Across the UK and Ireland

Tascomi, a leading developer in software systems, and OpenGeo, producer of the OpenGeo Suite, today announced a reseller agreement that will bring the OpenGeo Suite Enterprise Edition to the UK and Ireland.

Chris Holmes, OpenGeo president, noted: “We are excited to see growing interest in the OpenGeo Suite in Ireland and the UK. Our partnership with Tascomi will add local expertise and support to this market as well as help add value to users of our supported open source products.”

Tascomi will assume the first line of support of the OpenGeo Suite for its local clientele in the UK and Ireland while having privileged access to OpenGeo for second line support. Upon making the announcement, Tascomi said, “We look forward to adding the OpenGeo Suite of products to our solutions, enabling us to provide innovative functionality and offer a fully-rounded selection of software products to customers.”

OpenGeo is well known for its contributions and leadership in the development and evolution of powerful open source geospatial technologies. The OpenGeo Suite offers a fully integrated open source geospatial platform for serving maps and data through web applications, mobile devices, and desktop clients. The OpenGeo Suite Enterprise Edition is comprised of tested, integrated, and supported geospatial components PostGIS, GeoServer,OpenLayers, GeoWebCache, and GeoExt.
