OnBase by Hyland Enhances Esri Integration with the Release of OnBase 15

  • Rating12345

Cleveland, Ohio, May 08, 2015 — The newest annual release of OnBase 15 includes more than 2,000 customer-focused enhancements, including the ability to place documents and content on a map within OnBase leveraging the Esri® ArcGIS platform. The integration displays documents as a data layer on a map, augmenting geographic and analytic knowledge while creating a greater context for making critical decisions.

Several industries require content to be displayed in context, including insurance companies, government agencies, healthcare organizations and more. By leveraging additional data layers, insurance claims can be seen within storm maps and cases of food-borne illness can be mapped for further analysis.

Notable areas of the Esri integration with OnBase 15 include :

Documents within OnBase can be geo-enabled, making it available to map through the Esri integration

Interactive maps leverage native Esri functionality, like changing the base map, alternating between views and adding additional data layers

Modified maps are saved as images in OnBase and used within automated workflow processes

Location analytics run on existing content within OnBase

“By adding ArcGIS-based data, search, visualization and exploration Hyland has created a new class of product: a context management solution,” said Simon Thompson, director of commercial industry, Esri. “OnBase 15 now has the ability to answer important where questions, not just who, what, how and when. This powerful new capability will improve organizational understanding and give the answers they need to deliver better outcomes.”

“Context is King and an ocean of information is useless if we can’t present the right information in a manner that empowers better decision-making,” said Tim Piazza, team lead of strategic alliances at Hyland. “Our partnership with Esri helps our customers leverage a greater amount of data and information to operate smarter, faster and more efficiently.”
