New Divisional Manager for Chronos

Chronos Technology, the UK telecom network sync specialist, and designer and manufacturer of specialised GPS timing products, has appointed Andy Proctor as Divisional Manager, GNSS Applications and Solutions. Andy will manage the development and growth of the GNSS product and service portfolio within Chronos.  He will also be responsible for Chronos’ eLoran solution portfolio and contribute to the Chronos Research & Development programme, to introduce new developments into the Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) market and beyond. Andy spent 12 years in the Royal Navy, leaving in 1998 as a Chief Communications and Electronic Warfare Engineer and joined the GNSS Testing group of Spirent Communications, firstly in charge of global customer support then in a variety of Technical (including training) and Sales roles working across EMEA, Asia and the Americas. During this time Andy was involved in the development of the A-GPS standard and testing methodology for 3GPP and GCF/PTCRB. After Spirent, Andy managed a Wireless/GPS testing facility in the UK before moving to VT Group, a leading government and critical support services organisation where much of his work required high levels of security clearance for the provision of engineering and infrastructure services into the Homeland Security and Intelligence market sector.
