NAVTEQ Establishes pan-European Reseller Agreement with Esri Schweiz AG

  • Rating12345

NAVTEQ has established a pan-European reseller agreement with Esri Schweiz AG. As an authorised NAVTEQ reseller, the GIS specialist will be able to provide customers with a complete set of NAVTEQ geodata which, depending on individual requirements, can be supplied in formats optimised for use within Esri software. The navigable map data and associated content – such as Speed Limits, 3D City Models, NAVTEQ Traffic™ and NAVTEQ Transport™ which is focused on providing navigable attributes for large vehicles – will be used to enable a range of GIS, geomarketing, geocoding, mobile asset management and telematics applications utilising Esri’s GIS products and solutions.

The Esri philosophy is that a geographic approach to problem solving allows for better communication and collaboration. GIS technology leverages this geographic insight to address social, economic, business, and environmental concerns at local, regional, national, and global scales. “Our agreement with NAVTEQ will enable us to provide a more comprehensive geographic package to our customers in the region,” explained Martin Probst, Associate Managing Director of Esri Schweiz AG. “From developer tools to online GIS platforms, the quality and precision of NAVTEQ map data will impact on all our products and help us meet our customers’ requirements.”

NAVTEQ has a long standing relationship with Esri and its international distributors in Europe and the agreement with Esri Schweiz AG builds on this established association. “It will enable Esri Schweiz AG to offer enhanced product offerings and innovative solutions,” added Peter Beaumont, Customer Marketing Director, Enterprise EMEA of NAVTEQ. “Organisations across Europe are recognising the benefits of spatially enabling their Enterprise applications. NAVTEQ’s navigable map database, together with Esri’s comprehensive suite of GIS technology and solutions, will support improvements in efficiency.”
