The National Geochemical Survey of Australia (NGSA) aims to produce the first geochemical atlas of Australia based on the multi-element analysis of transported regolith samples collected at the outlet of large catchments covering most of the continent. The project, which is funded by the Onshore Energy Security Program and the States and Northern Territory Geological Surveys under a collaborative National Geoscience Agreement, staretd in January 2007.
