Local GITA Chapter Partners with Private Industry

  • Rating12345

St. Paul, Minnesota – A fifth successful EnerGIS conference (June 5-6, Canonsburg, PA) has come to a close.  EnerGIS was created out of the need for a local (mid-Atlantic) conference dedicated to the reinvigorated energy industry in the Marcellus and Utica Shale region.

Through the efforts of a relaunched GITA Mid-Atlantic Chapter and back office support from the Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA) North America, EnerGIS has been able to deliver five years of stellar presentations, provide an educational and networking experience to nearly 1,000 geospatial practitioners, create community outreach, and present scholarship awards.

All the above would not have been possible without the support of GITA affiliate Range Resources Corporation who generously provide their regional headquarters and staff to EnerGIS.  This partnership has been the catalyst enabling EnerGIS to award $19,000 in scholarships to deserving students and provide $2,500 to the Greater Washington County Food Bank.  GITA and the EnerGIS organizing committee look forward to their continued partnership with Range Resources Corporation in the years ahead.

EnerGIS presentations from each annual conference (2017 coming soon) are available in the GITA Learning Center and through the GITA YouTube Channel .
