To familiarize you with this simple-to-use online mapping application, Esri will host the live training seminar Introduction to Esri Community Analyst on August 25, 2011.

The presenters will demonstrate how to use the application to create intelligent, color-coded maps and analyze up to 6,000 variables such as demographic, business, health, economic, education, and the latest US Census data.

Attendees will also learn about

  • Who can benefit from using Community Analyst
  • What types of issues the application can help analyze and solve
  • How Community Analyst is currently being used to evaluate areas for community needs, plan for growth, and allocate critical resources to produce the greatest benefits
  • How to generate reports and maps based on your analyses
  • How Smart Map Search works (Smart Map Search lets you select up to five customizable parameters and quickly identify locations that meet your criteria.)
  • How Esri’s ArcGIS for Desktop users can incorporate data and reports directly into their ArcMap workflows

Elected government officials and their staff, policy analysts, city and county administrators, city planners, consultants, health department analysts, and GIS analysts are encouraged to attend.
