Latest Model of Optech Lynx and Results from Highways England at TRB 95th Annual Meeting

  • Rating12345

January 8, 2016 — Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that it will introduce the latest model of its Lynx mobile lidar system, the survey-grade Optech Lynx SG-S at the 95th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) on January 10-14 in Washington, D.C. In addition, Highways England will also be in attendance and available to discuss its use of the Optech Lynx SG to support its business needs for asset management.

The Optech Lynx SG-S mobile survey system hits the right balance between price and performance for most transportation applications. The Lynx SG-S pairs Teledyne Optech’s powerful lidar technology with a best-in-class position and orientation system to produce 3D data with survey-grade precision from a vehicle moving at highway speeds. With the lidar sensor, 360° Ladybug camera and GNSS antenna all placed on a single, compact platform, field operators can remove and reinstall the system quickly without affecting boresight parameters. The Lynx SG-S joins the rest of the Lynx family of mobile lidar systems, which includes the dual-sensor Lynx SG for high-density surveys and the mapping-grade Lynx MG for asset management and utilities.

Teledyne Optech staff will be happy to discuss how our other products can work for the transportation industry, including the Optech Orion C for corridors that require an airborne perspective or the long-range Optech ILRIS terrestrial laser scanner for use on land or integrated with sonar on watercraft. To hear about all of these solutions and put your name in for the free television giveaway, head to booth 1216.
