International Drone Racing Limited (https://idrlc.com/), a drone racing championship organization dedicated to bringing exceptional drone pilots together and encouraging their talent, has confirmed several international contestants for its initial major racing event series in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 15th and 16th.

The series is organized by drone pilots for drone pilots as one of the largest prize pool events of its kind in the United States, drawing in some of the best racers from the US and international countries such as Korea, Italy and Australia. Current top global racers include Evan “headsupfpv” Tuner, Soren “phatkidpv” Monroe Anderson, Patrick “engiair” White, SunJu Park, Mark “shelbyvoll” Vollrath, Jason “vango” Glaze, and Anthony “blitz” Gennello.

“Pilots of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to register for the races,” said Richard Rodriguez, Race Director for the IDRLC. “Not only is there a chance to receive a generous portion of the prize pool, but contestants will get to show off their skills and passion for drones and drone racing. It’s a great way to bring the international community together to encourage others and reward exceptional talent.”

Initial Racing Event Details:
The Spec Wing Racing Event will be held on the North Beach in Atlantic City on June 15th and 16th of 2019, the coordination of which included assistance from the Atlantic City Mayor’s Office, the US Coast Guard and other regulatory agencies. The race’s prize purse is worth $16,000 with a $5,500 award for first place. This initial event is sponsored by the Suntuity Group of companies, a New Jersey-based global renewable energy and UAV services conglomerate that builds, owns and operates residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar solutions around the world.

Drone enthusiasts are encouraged to participate ─ whether they are using drones for professional, prosumer or consumer use. Racers must be IDRLC members to participate in this initial event and can receive discounts on an AMA membership through an agreement established with the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) and the IDRLC.
