HOK Expands Global Aviation + Transportation Group

HOK has added four new leaders to its global Aviation + Transportation leadership team to support continued international growth. Steven Morris,AIA, ASCE, is the new director of global marketing for HOK’s Aviation + Transportation group. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, he is leading HOK’s efforts to bring its aviation and transportation industry expertise and design excellence to clients worldwide. His 28 years of industry experience includes leading major projects at the Lisbon International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Panama City International Airport.

Based in London, Richard Gammon, RIBA, is HOK’s new director of Aviation + Transportation in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. He will sit on the firm’s London board of directors. His 15 years of experience include several major projects at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.

Keith Hui,AIA, NCARB, has relocated from HOK’s Seattle office to Hong Kong, where he will serve as the firm’s director of Aviation + Transportation in the Asia-Pacific region with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City. He joined HOK in 2008 and has 17 years of experience planning and designing A+T facilities including terminal modernization programs at Salt Lake City International Airport, Honolulu International Airport and Kona International Airport.

Dennis Gillespie, AIA, now serves as the planning leader for HOK Aviation + Transportation. He works with teams across HOK to create programs that support successful operations and great architecture. Gillespie, who has 33 years of A+T industry experience, has been a key contributor to several major projects over the past 10 years at HOK, including the New Doha International Airport, the Indianapolis International Airport Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal and the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco.

Morris, Gammon and Hui are collaborating as part of a leadership team that includes HOK Aviation + Transportation director Tom Darmody in San Francisco as well as directors Robert Chicas in New York and Kaven Swan in St. Louis.

“This team is helping HOK’s clients define the aviation and transportation facilities of the future,” said Darmody. “We bring our expertise from landmark projects all over the world to each new client.”

Current landmark projects include Gatwick Airport Expansion and Modernization in England, AnaheimRegional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) in California, and Bangalore International Airport Terminal 1 in India.
