Hexagon Geospatial Honors Airbus Defense and Space with Shaping Change Recognition Programme

  • Rating12345

Anaheim, California – Hexagon Geospatial presented Airbus Defense and Space with the Shaping Change award for their content partnership which will provide content for Hexagon Smart M.Apps. Announced at HxGN LIVE, Hexagon’s annual conference, the Shaping Change Recognition Programme is Hexagon’s highest customer award, acknowledging organizations that consistently make significant contributions to the businesses and industries they serve.

This year’s winner is shaping change in the mapping world by providing access to their world-class data to innovators who build Hexagon Smart M.Apps.

“Airbus Defense and Space provides Smart M.App innovators access to their content, and this will transform the map from a static picture into a dynamic information experience,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon Geospatial. “The dynamic nature of every Smart M.App is defined by its ability to connect to data as it becomes available. Because Smart M.App users can easily access both archived and fresh content, Airbus Defense and Space is helping businesses not just model what was, but to base their decisions on what is, and what can be.”

By offering access to Airbus’ Earth Observation data directly in the Smart M.App platform, Airbus Defense and Space is revolutionizing how users will experience maps. The Hexagon Smart M.App allows you to visualize content across time, and Airbus Defense and Space will provide access to both new and archived very-high and high resolution optical satellite imagery from the Pléiades (50cm products) and SPOT (1.5m) satellites. With a goal to expanding the available data in the coming months, they have empowered developers across the globe to not only build the Map of the Future, but they are providing them with the fuel they need to shape their own change in the world.
