Geographic Calculator 2015 SP1 Now Available

  • Rating12345

April 30, 2015 — We are pleased to announce the release of the Geographic Calculator 2015 Service Pack 1 (SP1). This release features a new method for calculating Forward/Inverse distances above or below ellipsoid, support for HTDP Velocities with output coordinates, and support for EPSG History and revision dates.

The 2015 SP1 release features enhanced Forward/Inverse distance calculations for added accuracy; users may now calculate Forward and Inverse distances above or below ellipsoid. The Horizontal Time Dependent transformations performed in the Interactive Conversion job now have North, East, and Up velocity values available as millimeters per year, and support has been updated to HTDP v3.2.3. In addition, information has been added to datasource object definitions for EPSG defined systems; a History tab now contains a summary of EPSG changes, including the reporting authority, the report date and the close date for historic changes to the system.

“The Geographic Calculator is a geomatics toolbox for any GIS professional,” states Blue Marble President Patrick Cunningham. “With the release of 2015 SP1 we’ve added enhancements to make Calculator not only more powerful but also more flexible.”
