GeoEye Triples Size of its Amsterdam Office to Meet Rapidly Expanding Regional Needs

GeoEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEOY), a leading provider of geospatial information and insight, announced today that it will triple the size of its Amsterdam office in order to meet rapidly expanding European and Regional demand for commercial satellite imagery and information services. The expansion comes just four months after successfully expanding its existing overseas sales and customer service operations into Europe.

The new office, which will open on June 1, will be located on Floor 11 of the Amsterdam World Trade Center (WTC) Tower C.

Andy Hanna, Regional Sales Director for GeoEye’s European, Russian and Turkish sales regions noted that the move was driven by robust demand across the region.

“Our initial decision to extend our existing overseas sales and customer support operations to Europe was driven by strong local distributor and customer demand–customers and distribution partners alike wanted to develop direct, local relationships with us,” said Hanna. “We have been enormously encouraged by the positive response to our local presence in Europe since January, and are excited to provide even better services once we expand into our new, larger office space at the WTC Amsterdam—one of Europe’s premier business locations.”
