Geodesign in Europe – Call for Papers

The first European Conference on GeoDesign will be held together with the 13th annual International Conference on Information  Technology in Landscape Architecture at Anhalt University in Bernburg and Dessau, Germany from 31 May – 2 June 2012. According to Ervin (2011) Geodesign projects leverage the powers of digital computing and communications technologies to foster collaborative, information-based environmental design, and provide timely feedback about implications of proposed designs, often including impacts and evaluations covering a larger area, greater complexity, or longer time-frame than the immediate design proposal. Please submit “Extended Abstracts” (minimum one page, maximum two pages text including key references and optional additional selected graphics) as pdf file online via a web-based submission system by 1 November 2011 at http://dla.loel.hs-anhalt.de/dla2012/ or go to  www.digital-la.de  DLA Conference 2012 for review and possible inclusion in the program as presentation or as poster.

Notification of acceptance: 01 December 2011
Full manuscript draft due: 20 December 2011
Reviewed manuscript due: 01 February 2012
Conference: 31 May – 2. June 2012
The conference language is English and will be held at the Anhalt University Campus in Bernburg.
The concept of the DLA event is developed by the Scientific Program Committee of the Digital Landscape Architecture DLA conference.
The DLA is being organized in cooperation with long term partners including AGIT Symposium and Fachmesse Angewandte
Geoinformatik of University of Salzburg, the LE:NOTRE Thematic Network of the Technical University of Vienna, and the German
Professional Association of Landscape Architects, BDLA, as well as leading vendors. The conference serves as platform for the ECLAS
Committee Digital Information.
