Spatial Dimension is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Kenyan Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources to implement FlexiCadastre as Kenya’s new computerised Mining Cadastre System. The new Mining Cadastre System will improve transparency and security of tenure; increase accessibility of information to private sector investors including small-scale miners; and ensure standardisation and uniformity of mineral licensing procedures. It will allow for the efficient and reliable management of mineral rights for the benefit of all stakeholders, including the people and Government of Kenya.

“It is a honour to be selected by the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources for this strategically important project. With this win we further enhance our FlexiCadastre User Community in the Region. Kenya now joins Mozambique, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia in using FlexiCadastre to manage their mineral resources in a responsible and transparent fashion.
