FIZ Karlsruhe Provides Outstanding Services for Science and Business

FIZ Karlsruhe, an important information infrastructure organization in Germany, well known for its database services such as STN and its innovative eScience solutions, was recently evaluated by internationally recognized experts. The result of the evaluation is outstanding. It shows that FIZ Karlsruhe, a member of the Leibniz-Association, is a reliable and valuable partner for science and industry worldwide.

The Leibniz Association is a prestigious association of research and infrastructure institutes within Germany. On behalf of the Germany’s Joint Science Conference and the German federal and state governments, every member must undergo an objective evaluation, every seven years, concerning the organization’s strategy, organizational strength and culture, operations, and financial strength. The evaluation is highly respected throughout Europe for its scientific independence and rigorous rules. The evaluation was managed by a distinguished international panel, which filed a report with the Leibniz Senate.

“On the whole, the institute’s work is of very good and – in specific areas – of excellent quality, with internationally competitive products and services that meet the highest expectations with respect to currentness, IT quality, and customer service”, the experts wrote. They also confirmed that FIZ Karlsruhe “provides outstanding services in applied research and the development of new methodologies.” Read More
