July 7, 2015 — Exprodat, the oil and gas ArcGIS platform specialist, understands that exploration departments within oil and gas companies are under huge pressure to better understand opportunities and make better exploration decisions.
The recently released version 222 of Exploration Analyst is a key tool for people tasked with these crucial activities.
Exploration Analyst v222, which supports Esri’s latest version of ArcGIS for Desktop (10.3.1), provides a host of new tools for exploration staff to improve their play assessment analyses. The enhancements have in a large part been driven by customer feedback along with industry best practice.
Exprodat’s Technical Director Chris Jepps explains more about the new release and the benefits it will bring to staff working within E&P departments; “The primary focus of the latest release of Exploration Analyst is on extending and enhancing its yet-to-find tools by firstly providing more flexibility and secondly by streamlining analyses across multiple areas. The release also adds further resource analysis tools such as the ability to analyse feature densities and discovered pools by hydrocarbon phase.
A second key focus of the release is user experience and usability – making the tools even easier to use in line with our product development philosophy of providing powerful, easy-to-use and best-in-class play assessment tools that enable oil and gas companies to make better exploration decisions.”
Exploration Analyst, Data Assistant and Unconventionals Analyst are a series of ArcGIS extensions developed, supplied and supported by Exprodat for use in the petroleum industry. Users of these tools are able to improve their decision making through better data integration and analysis.
