  • Rating12345

BALTIMORE, MD  — On January 1, 2016, EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) acquired the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based geospatial technology firm geographIT. With the acquisition, EBA will now offer integrated geographic information system (GIS), information management, and asset management solutions to clients.

“We are thrilled to welcome 10 new talented professionals to our team,” said EBA President Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “Not only does this union create an entirely new service offering for EBA, but it will also help us increase our business presence in Pennsylvania.”

EBA has established a new geospatial technologies and asset management services division, led by EBA vice president Bruce Stauffer and based in EBA’s new Lancaster office.

As geographIT vice president and co-founder, Stauffer managed all aspects of the firm, including strategic direction, project oversight, and client relations. He has more than 30 years of management and technical experience in planning and implementing GIS solutions for transportation, utility, state, and county government clients.

geographIT president and co-founder Ashis Pal will continue to assist EBA as a business development consultant.

Founded in 1990, geographIT evolved from a GIS technology firm to offering a broad range of consulting, customized development, and integration services for both geospatial and information technology (IT). The team specializes in automating clients’ operations and streamlining complex data collection and management workflows through GIS and IT consulting, software development, database integration, and support services.

These capabilities will support public safety, emergency management, natural resources, transportation, utility, and other markets.

“We are confident that the geographIT team shares EBA’s values and commitment to service, and we look forward to offering our clients even greater value by joining forces,” said Siddiqi.
