East View Secures New Partnership Agreement with Valtus

  • Rating12345

MINNEAPOLIS – March 1, 2016 – East View Geospatial is excited to announce an agreement with Valtus Imagery Services, part of Hexagon, adding fresh, high resolution aerial imagery to its continually growing product portfolio.

East View Geospatial will now be able to offer aerial imagery collected through the Hexagon Imagery Program (HxIP): a high-quality, accurate and professional dataset. The imagery within the program is 4-band, 30cm (1 foot) resolution, with set specification and accuracy standards, metadata and a planned refresh schedule. All data within this dataset will be captured using the latest in Hexagon sensor technologies. Major urban areas are available at 15cm (6 inch) resolution.

As an additional offering, East View Geospatial can provide subscription access to data from the Hexagon Imagery Program through Views: Spatial Data as a Service. Views allows subscribers complete viewing access using a variety of protocols like OGC WMS/WMTS imagery services and is accessible in many applications including Esri, MapInfo, AutoCAD, proprietary oil and gas applications, etc.

“East View Geospatial customers now have access to the highest resolution, most current orthorectified imagery over the United States and Western Europe,” said Kent Lee, East View Geospatial founder and CEO. “With near complete US coverage at 12-inch resolution, and up to 6-inch in urban areas, the imagery program opens an exciting era in remote sensing.”

Views: Spatial Data as a Service opens access to the Valtus imagery library; and with projection, scaling and mosaics processed ‘on the fly’, it delivers quality imagery when and how you need it affording users unlimited viewing and plotting.
