CloverPoint :: QR Invaders

  • Rating12345

CloverPoint is working with three local companies on the development of QR code campaigns. We can’t tell you who they are, because it’s top secret. But in the meantime if you are unfamiliar with the QR Code movement here’s the Wikipedia definition: A QR Code is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.

The QR code is at present a novel way of attracting the attention of smart phone users who can scan the code with a wide variety of free applications. The code triggers a response in the phone. The QR code can bring up a website, send an email, make a phone call, or send a preloaded SMS message. Codes can also be integrated with Augmented Reality to show 3D models superimposed on the view in front of the smart phone camera. Read More
