Manatron, Inc. Acquires International Land Systems (ILS), Inc

Manatron, Inc. announced it has acquired International Land Systems (ILS) Inc., creating a new international business arm. Manatron International, a new company created as a result of the acquisition will oversee all ILS projects in the United States. The acquisition was led by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, LLC. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Alabama Moves Its Redistricting Process to the Web

This year, the state of Alabama is redrawing its district lines using a flexible geographic information system (GIS)-based online platform. The Alabama Legislative Reapportionment Office procured a web-based redistricting solution from Esri that incorporates the collaborative capabilities of the Web with sophisticated geospatial analysis tools required for redistricting.
