Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Select Cadcorp to Supply Corporate GIS

A web mapping application from specialist British GIS software developer Cadcorp, has been selected to become the corporate GIS for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS). SFRS will provide all 23 of its fire stations with access to geographic information through an intranet application, Cadcorp Web Map Viewer.

NASA Selects Snow and Ice Distributed Active Archive Center Contract

NASA has selected the University of Colorado Boulder for the management and operations of the Earth Observing System Data and Information System Snow and Ice Distributed Active Archive Center. 3,900 New Redesigned U.S. Topo Maps Available for Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia

To keep pace with a rapid schedule and increasing demand, the USGS has posted new US Topo quadrangles covering Indiana(640 maps), Iowa (1,011 maps), North Carolina (833 maps), Pennsylvania (798 maps) and Virginia (596 maps).
