International Land Systems (ILS), Inc., now a company of Thomson Reuters, and the Anhui Agriculture Commission today announced they have signed a memorandum of understanding to further develop a rural land registration and mapping program for Anhui Province. The memorandum comes immediately after concluding a successful United States Trade and Development Agency-funded technical assistance pilot.

On 16 August 1981, the Meteosat-2 geostationary weather satellite began operationally to supply data relevant for climate monitoring.
