Washington D.C — Boundless, the world leader in commercially supported open source GIS software, is excited to announce its participation at the 2016 USGIF GEOINT Symposium. GEOINT takes place May 15-18 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Boundless is a USGIF Sustaining Partner and sponsor of this preeminent event of the year for the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities.

Boundless is exhibiting at booth #1628, inside the Carahsoft Partner Pavilion. Boundless will showcase the new Boundless Platform. The Boundless Platform is designed for organizations who need secure enterprise geospatial IT capabilities, while also seeking to reduce costs, scale their enterprise rapidly without penalty, and avoid vendor lock-in. Powered by trusted open source projects, the Boundless Platform includes value-added services and productivity tools, along with premiere commercial support. More information about the Boundless Platform can be found here.

Boundless will also showcase their recently announced academic initiative, which provides solutions, documentation and staff to educational institutions. Providing support to the academic community is part of the Boundless commitment to support open source GIS programs and in turn contribute to the larger geospatial intelligence mission.

A special session will be held with the Boundless leadership team at booth #1628 on Monday, May 16th from 4-5pm. Topics include how to build a #ThinkOpen strategy for the corporate enterprise and how open source GIS is supporting the GEOINT mission.

“With the explosion of location-based information available to the intelligence and homeland security spaces, the demand for technology platforms to be able to provide visualization, analysis, and answers to key intelligence questions is higher now than ever before,” says Brian Monheiser, Director of Federal Programs at Boundless. “We are proud to support both the USGIF and the GEOINT Symposium, and promoting how open source technologies can provide mission-ready capabilities to meet these demands.”
