Blue Marble to Feature Global Mapper v14.2 LiDAR Enhancements at ILSC 2013

  • Rating12345

Blue Marble Geographics will be exhibiting at the Optech, Imaging and LiDAR Solutions Conference (ILSC) in Toronto, Canada from June 25th to 27th. Come visit Blue Marble at booth number 7 for a complete overview of new features in Global Mapper v14.2.  Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

Blue Marble will be showcasing the powerful functions and features of Global Mapper, including the significantly improved ability to load and classify massive amounts of LiDAR point cloud data, jumping from tens of millions of points to hundreds of millions of points. Global Mapper 14.2 features a variety of LiDAR enhancements, adding the ability to search by elevations and color by return value. Adjusting LiDAR display & draw modes allow users to visualize multiple return values present within a particular LiDAR dataset. This feature is excellent for performing vegetation or terrain analysis. These added features will be demonstrated at Optech, ILSC to show users how they can complete jobs faster and more efficiently, providing a greater return on their software investment.

“The Optech, Imaging and LiDAR Solutions Conference has become an excellent event to learn more about LiDAR,” stated Heather Poirier, Blue Marble Marketing Manager. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to showcase such a powerful tool for processing LiDAR data.”

Adam Hill, Senior Account Manager at Blue Marble Geographics, will be presenting on Maintaining Positional Integrity in LiDAR Point Clouds. This presentation will cover some of the basics of post-processing LiDAR point clouds while preserving high accuracy and data precision. Be sure to visit booth 7 to learn more.
