The countdown has begun: Ozri, one of the largest geospatial events on the Asia Pacific calendar, will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Victoria, from 12 – 14 October 2011.

Organised by GIS and location intelligence specialists Esri Australia, Ozri is the place for professionals within the spatial industry to come together, collaborate, learn and be inspired.

In previous years, Ozri has attracted more than 500 GIS professionals from across the globe, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with the who’s who of Australasia’s geo-enabled industries.

According to the 2010 GIS Industry and Technology Survey, the Australian spatial industry is worth an estimated $2.1b annually and is growing each year. Ozri has established a reputation for attracting the key decision-makers and professionals behind this powerful industry, including government organisations, the commercial sector and members of the community.

The key themes of Ozri 2011 – connect, build, optimise – draw attention to the growing role of location in today’s world and the new challenges faced by GIS professionals in meeting their organisation’s requirements for location-based information.

Presenters in varying industries from all across the region will be presenting on their organisation’s challenges and GIS solutions.
