Asset Owners Share Business Drivers for 3D Technologies at SPAR 3D

  • Rating12345

(The Woodlands, TX)—March 16, 2016—SPAR 3D Expo & Conference has published its list of speakers for the 2016 event, focusing on asset owners’ challenges, best practices and what’s needed for enterprise integration of 3D technologies for 3D data acquisition, large data set processing and delivery/visualization among multiple constituents. 3D technologies properly considered and implemented are key to competitive advantage and first-to-market, cost reductions, effective workflows, and enhanced safety.

“SPAR 3D is essential in the market because it is a technology-agnostic forum,” said Linda McLaughlin, Conference Manager, “and this year we’re focusing on the asset owner: why companies should be using 3D technologies, and applying lessons learned across industries including process and power, discrete manufacturing, architecture, engineering, and construction; industrial facilities; transportation and infrastructure, forensics, and other verticals.”

Keynoters from Boeing Research and Technology and Walmart will share how large-scale facilities from manufacturing to retail are employing 3D technologies to better manage massive assets while technology start-up Wearality’s CTO will share his vision into the future of wearable technology and how portable virtual reality will affect your business.

SPAR 3D has confirmed attendance of companies including Ford, GM, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BP, Walmart, Fluor, DPR Construction, Walbridge, The Beck Group, HNTB, Skanska USA, Minnesota DOT, and Balfour Beatty Construction. These experts will discuss topics including tracking construction and assessing infrastructure, integrating 3D for infrastructure, extracting construction intelligence from reality capture data, using 3D to identify differences between models, harness massive data, and more.

“Beyond the conference program, we have an extensive exhibit floor.” said Lisa Murray, Event Director for SPAR 3D, “Most other conferences and exhibitions are centered on a single vendor providing a hardware or software solution. Our event gives asset owners and operators the chance to compare many solutions to find the right fit to help them achieve their corporate goals. We have over 100 vendors showcasing their solutions at SPAR 3D.”

Attendees can register at www.spar3d.com/event/. Vendors interested in exhibiting can contact [email protected].  Qualified members of the media and press may attend for free.
