Airborne Electromagnetic Data for Paterson North, Western Australia

  • Rating12345

Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) data for Paterson North, Western Australia will be released on 17 April 2009. These data were collected with line spacings of one, two and six kilometres. AEM data were acquired over exposures of the eastern Pillbara Block and Hamersley Basin, northern most Rudall Complex, Yeneena Basin and Neoproterozoic to Mesozoic sediments of the Officer and Canning Basins.

Deposits including Kintyre (U), Woodie Woodie (Mn), Nifty (Cu) and Telfer (Au) occur within the survey boundaries. The survey results will provide information on the conductivities of a wide variety of surface and near surface materials which will aid exploration in the appropriate application of AEM in the region.

The data are available on DVD from the Geoscience Australia Sales Centre or telephone 1800 800 173.
