TiC Solutions and GeoVerra partner to expand geospatial services in Canada

  • Rating12345

To achieve broader reach across infrastructure, energy, utilities, transportation, land development and natural resources, TiC Solutions has acquired GeoVerra, one of Canada’s largest surveying and geomatics firms. The deal adds GeoVerra’s surveying, mapping, reality capture, land services and geospatial data capabilities to a platform that already includes NV5 and Acuren, expanding TiC Solutions’ geospatial operations nationwide.

TiC Solutions, a publicly listed provider of tech-enabled asset integrity, engineering, consulting and geospatial services, has built its business through an integrated portfolio of companies – including Acuren and NV5 – that together are serving industrial assets, buildings and public infrastructure across their full lifecycle, from planning and construction through ongoing operations and maintenance.

GeoVerra, founded in Canada, is known as one the country’s largest surveying and geomatics company, offering surveying, mapping, geospatial and land solutions to a wide range of clients. The company has worked on a number of Canada’s major infrastructure and resource development projects and brings established client relationships in those markets to TiC Solutions.

Ben Heraud, CEO of TiC Solutions, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s position in Canada and complements its existing NV5 and Acuren businesses. He added that GeoVerra’s addition would “enhance our ability to support clients throughout the asset lifecycle and expand our capacity to deliver integrated solutions across key markets”.

Ashley Robertson, CEO of GeoVerra, said the deal brings together “organizations with complementary strengths and shared values”. She noted that joining TiC Solutions gives GeoVerra access to additional resources while allowing the company to continue focusing on client service.

The acquisition is the latest in TiC Solutions’ strategy of acquiring businesses that expand its engineering, geospatial, testing, inspection and compliance offerings across North America.
