Bicester (UK), Monday 2nd February 2026—
Dalcour Maclaren, the leading land and environmental consultancy to the utilities and infrastructure sectors, has acquired
Geomap Ltd, a specialist geomatics and land surveying consultancy with deep expertise in the Water and Waste sector.
Based in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, Geomap has more than 15 years’ experience delivering high accuracy surveying and geospatial data to water and wastewater companies across the UK. The business is recognised for its ability to meet the technical precision, asset detail and regulatory standards required to support capital delivery and network improvement programmes.
Geomap provides topographic, utility and drainage surveys, laser scanning, 3D modelling and photogrammetry, producing reliable, survey-grade data to inform design, construction and asset management across complex and operationally constrained environments.
The acquisition strengthens Dalcour Maclaren’s geomatics capability at a critical time for the sector, as water companies mobilise ambitious AMP8 investment programmes focused on improving resilience, reducing environmental impact and enhancing water quality.
Geomap’s specialist survey capability complements Dalcour Maclaren’s established land and access services, enabling a turnkey approach to survey delivery. Through its land teams, Dalcour Maclaren can secure access for survey works by agreement or through statutory powers under the Water Industry Act, allowing survey and data capture activities to be delivered efficiently, compliantly and entirely in-house.
By bringing Geomap into the business, Dalcour Maclaren is well positioned to support water and sewage companies with the accuracy, certainty and delivery capability required to progress priority works at pace.
James Neil, CEO of Dalcour Maclaren, said: “I’m delighted that we’re welcoming Geomap into the Dalcour Maclaren OneTeam. Their specialist land surveying expertise is a fantastic addition to our service offering. They’re already working with many of our clients and bringing them into the team means we can support those clients even better with their challenging programmes and projects. This marks an exciting new chapter in our growth, adding even more technical strength to help drive the utilities and infrastructure sector forward.”
Charles Potten, Founder and Owner, of Geomap, commented: “Joining Dalcour Maclaren allows us to build on the surveying expertise and standards we’re known for, while applying that capability at greater scale across major infrastructure programmes in all sectors. We’re excited to become part of a business with a strong focus on utilities and water, working on projects that make a real difference to network resilience and environmental outcomes.”
This acquisition supports Dalcour Maclaren’s strategy to invest in specialist geospatial skills and expand the services it provides on utilities and infrastructure projects.
