SuperGeo Technologies announced that Helix S.r.l., SuperGeo’s exclusive reseller in Italy, presented the GOES project at the OPEN DAYS. The project aims to create local networks gathering daily all relevant information about road conditions related to any criticisms and suggestions on alternative routes which are the important sources to prevent any accidental injury while a serious road emergency happened.
The company utilized SuperWebGIS, the Internet map server software, to help organizations deliver dynamic maps and GIS data via the web. The system developed by Helix S.r.l. is primarily to collect and transmit information about natural disasters that may result in negative impact on the feasibility of the roads.
Through accessing the system, it enables users to easily deliver dynamic maps and spatial data and to share geodata with the related staff to accomplish tasks. The grid survey reports are also designed and presented for specific web applications. For example, Grid User Survey Report can show on-time news about Road accident, Fallen trees, and Landslide, etc.
Since the collaboration with SuperGeo, Helix S.r.l. has been marketing SuperGIS to several government agencies and private sectors. Many success stories and sales performance are already seen.
