WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cadasta Foundation announces the addition of Rudo Kemper to its leadership team as Chief Program Officer. “We are thrilled to have Rudo join our team,” said Cadasta CEO Amy Coughenour Betancourt. “Rudo is coming to Cadasta with the right skills at the right time to advance our mission of enabling communities to secure their land and resource rights worldwide, especially those of  Indigenous Peoples, women, smallholder farmers, and others facing deforestation, climate change, and land grabs.”

Kemper added, “I am excited to join Cadasta and be part of an organization that has a proven record in making a difference in the lives of marginalized communities by empowering them with tools and training to protect their land rights and resources.”

Prior to joining Cadasta, Kemper worked as Senior Programmatic Lead at Digital Democracy and as Manager of Mapping and Programs Support at the Amazon Conservation Team. About Cadasta Foundation:

Founded in 2015, Cadasta Foundation is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that develops and promotes the use of simple digital tools and technology to help partners efficiently document, analyze, store, and share critical land and resource rights information.

Since our founding, we have worked with 99 partners to document and strengthen the land rights of over 6.2 million people in 46 countries on 21.5 million hectares of land. By creating an accessible digital record of land, property, and resource rights, help empower individuals, communities, organizations, governments, and businesses with the information they need to make data-driven decisions and put vulnerable communities and their needs on the map.
