1Integrate selected to automate data conflation and quality for new customer

1Spatial, (AIM: SPA), a global leader in Location Master Data Management (LMDM) software and solutions, today announces it has secured a new five-year contract with The Center for Advanced Transportation Technology Laboratory (CATT Lab) at the University of Maryland, the largest transportation big data and data analytics centre in the world. 1Spatial’s flagship rules engine, 1Integrate, has been selected to support the automation and conflation of traffic data for the US Federal Highways Administration (FHWA), an existing partner of CATT Lab. The contract has an initial value over the five years of around $0.6m, which will be recognised over the five-year period, adding to the Group’s annual recurring revenue.

1Spatial’s 1Integrate rules engine will be used to enhance the FHWA’s National Performance Management Research Data Set (NPMRDS), the only national authoritative information on all public roads in the US, with the conflation of the FHWA National Highway Performance data items onto a commercial dataset base map. Conflation is the process of merging two or more sets of data/information into one combined set. This combined data set will be provided back to FHWA so it can analyse its performance measures and management activities.

1Integrate will perform automated conflation including some pre and post validation checks and automated clean-up when necessary to ensure a smooth and timely conflation process.

1Spatial’s technology will help to provide federal, state, and regional agencies with a more expedient and accurate solution when assessing conditions such as travel reliability, road conditions and congestion, to improve many of the nation’s key roadways.

Commenting on the contract win, Claire Milverton, CEO at 1Spatial, said:

“We are excited to be partnering with CATT Lab to support the improvement of many of the US’ key roadways. By using our 1Integrate software, which automates the process of validating and combining data, the Federal Highways Administration can be assured that its National Data Set will be accurate and reliable. This win is a further demonstration of the breadth and quality of our world-class offering and the progress we continue to make in the US. We look forward to working with such world class performance management players.”
