September 18, 2012 at 1 PM Eastern: Part 1 – Introduction to Asset Management
Public and private agencies face continuous challenges to accomplish more with less as increases in demand, regulatory requirements, infrastructure deterioration, and political and economic forces have significantly outpaced increases in capital and operating budgets. Many of these agencies are turning to Asset Management to cope with these challenges and improve business performance and effectiveness. This presentation will focus on several aspects of developing an asset management system that could help improve performance, reduce long-term costs, and maximize return on investment in infrastructure assets.
October 10, 2012 at 1 PM Eastern: Part 2 – Asset Management Data Collection
Technological advances in Asset Management have proliferated over the past 5 years. New techniques including mobile and aerial platforms, automated processes, LIDAR collection, and hardware/software advancements have led to increased efficiencies to support on-going asset data collection. This webinar will discuss both traditional (survey, windshield assessments, etc.) and modern (LIDAR, mobile, etc.) collection strategies that may fit your organization’s needs.
November 7, 2012 at 1 PM Eastern: Part 3 – Asset Management Analysis and Maintenance
Agencies tend to spend a lot of time and money on their asset data collection without preparing or giving consideration to the type of analysis they need to perform with their asset data. In this webinar, we will review the concepts of condition assessment, risk analysis, valuation, capital budget planning, and on-going maintenance activities as well as the importance to have a plan in place on what needs to be collected to support these types of analyses in order to deliver a sustainable Asset Management Program.
The presenters for this series are Allen Ibaugh and Jason Amadori, both of DTS.
