Safe Software, the leader in spatial data transformation technology, announced today that it will kick off its FME World Tour 2013 on April 4th and will touch down in over 40 cities around the globe. The events are designed for all experience levels from people wanting to gain a general understanding of the product, to new and experienced FME users wanting to develop their skills.
Each event will introduce the highlights of FME 2013 and include an introductory overview of FME technology, customer success stories, and informative how-to and best practice sessions through which attendees will build their skills using both FME Desktop and FME Server. The meetings will also have an interactive element, giving attendees access to assistance from FME Certified Professionals, as well as a platform to network with FME users from other organizations.
“We are very proud of the new FME release and look forward to exploring its most impactful highlights with our users,” says Dale Lutz, Vice President of Development at Safe Software. “The FME World Tour provides a fantastic opportunity for FME users of all levels to exchange ideas, listen to experts and discover new and more efficient ways to solve their interoperability challenges.”
The tour will visit 40+ cities in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia between the months of April and July. Those unable to attend an event in person can sign up to participate in an interactive live stream of the FME World Tour 2013 event being held in Vancouver on April 16th, where they can watch the presentations and ask questions online.
The call for presenters is open until January 31. Those users with an interesting FME story that they feel others would benefit from hearing are encouraged to submit an abstract.
