BARSC Welcomes ICEYE as New Member

The British Association of Remote Sensing Companies (BARSC), the industry body that promotes the British earth observation industry throughout home markets and across the world, is delighted to confirm that ICEYE Information Solutions UK Ltd. has become the Association’s latest Corporate Member.

Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, ICEYE has recently expanded their operations in the UK with offices in Guildford and Harwell, to support more governments and commercial industries make better decisions by providing access to timely and reliable radar satellite imagery.

ICEYE is the first organisation in the world to successfully launch synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) satellites with a launch mass under 100 kg.

The company is operating its growing commercial constellation of small SAR satellites, with SAR data and dark vessel detection service already available for customers.

ICEYE is growing its constellation capabilities every year with an aim to achieve as frequent coverage of every meter of the Earth’s surface as every few hours, both day and night.

Steve Young, Vice President of Business Development and Sales at ICEYE explained more about his company’s ambition and how joining BARSC would help them to achieve these; “Becoming a member of BARSC is a great opportunity that helps us to connect with a wide range of leading earth observation companies, as well as strengthen our place in the UK remote sensing industry.
