Bluesky and Bird.i Join to Widen Access to Aerial Imagery

Bird.i, the premiere global platform for accessing the world’s best satellite, airborne and drone imagery, has today announced that it has closed a strategic partnership agreement with leading British aerial image supplier Bluesky International Ltd.

Bird.i is partnering with Bluesky to provide real-time on-line visualisation of the most accurate aerial images over the UK and to enable the development of exciting new applications and services. Set-up in 2016, Bird.i is quickly building a reputation for disrupting the market for Earth Observation data.  It has spent the past two years perfecting its unique technology, with a plug-and-play API that works within mapping and location-based applications.

Founder and CEO of Bird.i Corentin Guillo said: “This partnership will allow businesses to exploit location information more accurately and efficiently. Bird.i’s commitment is to serve the most accurate and recent images available to its clients for mass consumption of instantaneously accessible ‘image views’. Both companies will collaborate to streamline the overall process of image consumption and Bird.i will strive at opening new markets”.

As part of this agreement, Bird.i will have access to the latest, high quality images provided by Bluesky, which it will make available to clients online through its API.

Bird.i is a big data company focused on the geospatial industry.  Established in 2016, it has built a unique platform that curates the best of the world’s satellite, airborne and drone imagery in real time to create an up-to-date view of our world that everyone can explore at any time. Bird.i sources its data from a mix of providers.
All of Bird.i’s images from above offer 1.5 meters resolution or better and are current.  Businesses and individuals alike access images in real-time through Bird.i’s API and rely on Bird.i’s expert knowledge and insight to power their mapping applications or location based services.
