  • Rating12345
Calgary, A.B. – Geospatial Internet of Things (IoT) leader SensorUp announced the release of the SensorThings Highchart and DataTable (SensorThings HcDT). SensorThings HcDT is a javascript-based visualization Software Development Kit (SDK) built specifically for developing visualizations on top of the OGC SensorThings API.

SensorUp’s SensorThings HcDT lets developers build visual analytics applications effortlessly. With a few lines of code, developers can connect to any IoT datastreams from an OGC SensorThings API service, and display the sensor observations in charts, tables, or dashboard widgets for web applications.

The OGC SensorThings API is one of the newest OGC standards, and is designed specifically for IoT. The OGC SensorThings API provides an open, geospatially enabled way to interconnect IoT devices, data, and applications over the Web.

chart1Dr. Steve Liang, editor of the OGC SensorThings API standard, and founder/CEO of SensorUp, explains why SensorUp created SensorThings HcDT:

“The combination of OGC SensorThings API and SensorThings HcDT empowers developers to focus on delivering value for their customers, rather than worrying about the daunting details of sensor protocols and data formats.”

SensorUp plans to continue its investment in building a complete suite of SDKs for open-source tools to complement the OGC SensorThings API. The company plans to build SDKs that will enable GIS users to analyze sensor data and create custom maps and dashboards from multiple OGC SensorThings API services.
