The August edition of the News (online from 4 August) explores the extent to which geodata and standard applications have already found their way into our everyday lives. INTERGEO TV News looks back at the life of DVW President Prof. Karl-Friedrich Thöne, who died unexpectedly on 15 July 2016. In his role as DVW President he was very closely involved in developing INTERGEO from 2009 until his death. Prof. Thöne was a key player in events, associations and the geocommunity in various positions of responsibility.
