EagleView Announces Partnership with Spookfish

  • Rating12345

Bothell, Wash., — EagleView Technology Corporation, a leading technology provider of aerial imagery, data analytics and GIS solutions, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Spookfish Limited, an Australian company focused on the development and commercialization of premium, next-generation geospatial imagery products and services.

“We’re pleased that our companies were able to reach a long-term partnership agreement,” stated Frank Giuffrida, EagleView EVP and Chief Engineer. “EagleView and Spookfish will collaborate to create technology solutions that will enable the capture of higher resolution imagery on a more frequent basis in the domestic markets that we serve, and the partnership also provides the opportunity for us to expand internationally.”

Commenting on the partnership, Spookfish Executive Chairman, Jason Marinko said, “This partnership enables Spookfish to quickly bring to market our high resolution, high productivity image capture system and realize the full potential of our product development roadmap. EagleView is the ideal partner to support our development and distribute our premium output products in the North American market.”

Through the partnership, EagleView is granted an exclusive, long-term license to operate Spookfish Capture Platform technologies and sell output products in North America.  EagleView will also have the option to acquire an interest in Spookfish, subject to any necessary shareholder and regulatory approvals.

EagleView updates its customer image libraries regularly and this partnership will allow for the development of new technologies that give customers the option to be able to update multiple times per year at even higher resolutions than the industry-leading, two- to four-inch ground sample distances that the company currently delivers.

“The ability to deliver higher resolution imagery, more frequently, will have a positive impact on our local, state and federal government customer base as they are faced with the challenge of managing their ever-changing jurisdictions,” explained Robert Locke, President of Government Solutions at EagleView. “This partnership positions us to deliver current, accurate, extremely precise aerial data on a more regular basis.”
