1Spatial’s FME Team Wins Two Awards at Safe Software Event

  • Rating12345

Cambridge, 23 March 2016 —1Spatial plc, the spatial big data company, is a Platinum Partner of Safe Software and has one of largest numbers of FME certified staff globally. Two accreditations are available from Safe Software; Certified Trainer and Certified Professional, each of which is available for a maximum three year term. At this year’s Safe Software annual reseller event, the 1Spatial team won two awards; Contribution to the FME Knowledge Center and Special Recognition – Certified FME Trainer of 2015.

In recent months 1Spatial has extended its FME certified team with the addition of an extra FME Certified Trainer, Mark Farrington. Mark is one of the team’s veteran FME specialists having worked with FME for nearly 10 years as a long standing FME Certified Professional. In addition to Mark’s accolade, both Mary O’Brien and David Eagle have both recently been reassessed and re-accredited as Certified FME Trainers for a further three years.

“I am delighted the team is continuing to grow the number of FME Certified people we have on staff,” says David Eagle. “At 1Spatial our aim is to continue working on positively and effectively promoting the use of FME technology, where it fits into our customers’ requirements. Having these certifications helps to reassure our customers of our level of expertise.”

As 1Spatial is a Value-Added Reseller of FME and a Platinum Partner of Safe Software, David recently returned from this year’s Safe Software annual value-added Reseller event. At the event he was honoured with two awards, one for being ‘Certified FME Trainer of 2015’ and another for his ‘Contribution to the FME Knowledge Center’.

These awards recognise the work done by David Eagle. The first award recognised him for delivering one of the highest volumes of face-to-face FME training at all levels and on all FME products in 2015. As a Certified FME trainer, David helps users to leverage the value of their investment and get to grips with the full power of FME. The second award recognised David as a top contributor to the FME Knowledge Centre where David is a regular contributor to this amazing online resource.

FME empowers users to confidently transform data, so it can be used and shared – where, when and how it’s needed. Safe Software certifies a global network of trained and knowledgeable channel partners who provide FME solutions and expertise to customers.

Dale Lutz, Co-founder and VP of Product Development at Safe Software, states “David is a worthy winner of these awards. He truly understands our technology and has proven he is always ready to go the extra mile for customers.”
