AUSTIN, TX — UAS Magazine has released the official speaker and event lineup for the Texas UAS Summit & Expo, a premier unmanned aircraft systems event produced by UAS Magazine in collaboration with the Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence & Innovation and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Taking place March 29-31, 2016, in Austin, Texas, the three-day event will include timely and powerful regional perspective from more than 60 presenters consisting of Texas-based UAS end-users, R&D team leaders, state agencies, aerospace majors, technology developers, emergency response teams, oil producers, private UAS firms and two major UAS industry staples: the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and NASA.

“Our collective efforts on the event have revealed a glaring trend that we are excited to share in Austin, Texas is playing a major role in the development and commercial integration of UAS into several significant UAS end-use applications across Texas and the U.S.,” said Luke Geiver, editor of UAS Magazine. “The event’s theme, ‘Commercializing America’s Airspace,’ couldn’t be more appropriate given the diversity, scope and range of presenter or presentation type slated for the show.”

Presenter types represented at the event include university presidents, FAA regional leads, high-level NASA officials, UAS company presidents and CEOs, organizational directors, lead researchers, agriculture scientists, aviation experts from oil and gas or defense, recognized industry experts and policy makers and others.

Presentation topics will be delivered through keynotes, panels and individual topic or presenter updates. Attendees will have access to a unique mobile device show app allowing them to view presentations and data sets in real time. Agenda topics include: FAA insight, NASA’s role in UAS, emerging technology, Texas university involvement, UAS operations testing and commercialization efforts, emergency management best practices and lessons learned, large and small UAV input, sense and avoid perspectives, multi-UAS control plans, agriculture and oil production needs, 333 exemption holder perspectives and future plans, and Texas agency UAS utilization efforts.

“With a sold-out exhibit hall, a large netted sUAS demo enclosure and an overloaded agenda schedule, this event will be fast-paced, high energy and ripe with UAS storylines,” said Geiver.
