Harris Corporation becomes a Principal Member of the Open Geospatial Consortium

8 March 2016 — The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) is pleased to announce that long-time member Harris Corporation has raised its membership from Technical to Principal level.

As a Principal Member, Harris Corporation will participate in OGC’s Planning Committee to provide leadership to the OGC through the exploration of market and technology trends relevant to OGC’s mission to assure that OGC’s activities remain effective and agile in a changing technology environment. Further, in this Planning Committee role, Harris Corporation will participate in final approval decisions for all OGC standards and elections to the Board of Directors.
