esri.com/lts

October 25, 2012

9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. (Pacific daylight time)

The presenters will show you how and why you can use ArcGIS Online to host your services. These hosted services scale to meet demand and can be used to extend your GIS capabilities. You can take advantage of your ArcGIS Online subscription to make your services available to specific groups or even open them to the general public.

The presenters will demonstrate best practices for authoring maps using ArcGIS for Desktop as well as how to publish your maps to ArcGIS Online as a hosted service. You will learn how to enable your web map with editing capabilities and how map features can be edited remotely in a browser and using ArcGIS for Desktop.

After viewing this seminar, you will understand how to do the following:

  • Use ArcGIS for Desktop to prepare a map to be hosted on ArcGIS Online
  • Make the feature services in your web map editable
  • Share your web map in many ways including by e-mail or by embedding it in a blog or website

The seminar will be valuable to GIS professionals and knowledge workers who author, share, and use maps, mapping applications, and other geospatial data.

Attendees will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Global Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Global Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login, and register your name and address.
