  • Rating12345

November 12, 2015 — Earthstar Geographics LLC (San Diego, CA, USA) announced the release of their new TerraColor NextGen Landsat 8 satellite image mosaic covering the contiguous US (CONUS) 48 states. The product is a seamless mosaic of pan-sharpened true color Landsat 8 satellite images from the 2013-2015 time frame that have been carefully processed to provide high quality color and contrast. Individual US states, regional areas, and the entire CONUS are available for purchase.

“We are proud to add the CONUS mosaic to our TerraColor NextGen product line to provide an up-to-date medium resolution base map of the lower 48 United States,” said Eric Augenstein of Earthstar Geographics. “It provides a consistent, regional view in true color for a wide variety of applications and makes a perfect complement to high resolution imagery.”

TerraColor NextGen products can be purchased by individual country, or regions for areas where adjacent countries have been produced (such as the Middle East). They are suitable for mapping at scales of 1:60,000 and higher. TerraColor NextGen products are also offered with a resolution enhancement option which can improve the user’s ability to interpret smaller scale features such as large buildings, bridges and roadways.
