SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 17, 2015 — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today the appointment of Darryl R. Matthews as senior vice president and sector head responsible for Trimble’s Agriculture, Forestry, Positioning Services and HarvestMark Divisions, effective Sept. 1, 2015. Matthews brings over 20 years of experience in crop protection, seeds, nutrition and manufacturing.

Matthews was most recently the president and general manager of the NAFTA Region for Nufarm Americas, Inc., a publicly-traded multinational agricultural chemical company. During his 15 year career at the company, he also served as general manager of Nufarm Agriculture, Inc. in Canada. Matthews began his career at Dow AgroSciences in Canada where he held management roles in sales and marketing. Matthews holds an Honors B.Sc. in Agriculture majoring in Horticultural Science and Business from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Matthews also served on the Board of Directors for both CropLife America and CropLife Canada. CropLife represents developers, manufactures and distributers of plant science solutions for agriculture.

“Darryl brings strong complementary skills to Trimble,” said Steven W. Berglund, Trimble’s president and CEO. “He is a hands-on, collaborative and operationally focused executive with exposure to diverse business models and market environments. His background is particularly relevant as we both navigate current agricultural headwinds and anticipate the coming information-based agricultural transformation.”

Matthews will replace Mark Harrington who, as previously announced, will retire from Trimble in the fourth quarter of 2015. Harrington has served as a vice president of Trimble in a variety of executive management roles since 2004.
