Austin, TX, July 17, 2015 — Geographic Information Services, Inc. (GISi) an Esri Platinum Partner, announced today that its Board of Directors has formally approved the spin-off of its operating unit, GISi Indoors, as an independent company. The new business is named Geometri, LLC.
GISi Indoors was started two years ago as an internal diversification initiative for GISi. The mission for the business is to develop solutions for organizations in the emerging space of indoor location technology. The establishment of Geometri as a separate business accelerates growth through new strategic partners and investors.
