April 22, 2015 — Optech is pleased to announce the first set of speakers for the Optech Imaging and Lidar Solutions Conference (ILSC) taking place this summer in Toronto, Canada. Optech ILSC 2015 will be delivering what everyone has been asking for in such an event, including lining up knowledgeable speakers from every part of the imaging and lidar community.

Attendees at this remarkable gathering of talent will share years of remote sensing expertise, including case studies, new technology, improved techniques, and in-depth technical analysis.

Several leading technology and survey providers are among the presenters, and they will be sharing new techniques, best practices, and useful case studies from their latest projects. These first presenters include Merrick & Company, NM Group (formerly Network Mapping), US Imaging, Carbomap Ltd., LaserAction/Astrolabe Engineering, Helica Srl, IBI Group, Geo3D d.o.o., and Woolpert, Inc. Numerous software and hardware manufacturers will also be present to share their latest technologies and innovations and educate attendees on how to get the maximum from their systems, including SOMAG AG Jena, Blue Marble Geographics, Esri, GeoNumerics, Applanix and Geo-konzept. Finally, academics from University of Houston (NCALM), Ryerson University, University of Quebec at Montreal, and others will provide an in-depth and analytical look at the latest multispectral remote sensing technologies from Optech and their potential contribution to the industry.

These speakers will join the previously announced keynote speakers for ILSC 2015. Lewis Graham, President and Chief Technology Officer of GeoCue Group, will kick off ILSC on June 9 with an examination of small unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and their practical applications for airborne surveying. On June 11, Chief Technologist of Teledyne Brown Engineering (TBE) Dr. Mark Whorton will describe the Multi-User System for Earth Sensing (MUSES), an instrument pointing system that houses third-party instruments aboard the International Space Station and opens up the commercialization of space to smaller companies and groups.
