Exprodat Introduces the Member-Only ‘GIS Benchmarking Club’

  • Rating12345

Exprodat, the UK-based provider of Esri-based petroleum GIS services, software and training, has created an exclusive forum for oil & gas companies to benchmark their geospatial capabilities.

Members of the ‘GIS Benchmarking Club’ will benefit from being able to quantitatively and qualitatively compare their GIS performance with that of their industry peers.

The club provides petroleum GIS Managers with a trusted and technology-independent environment to share experiences and learn from best practices. Signed-up members will receive a structured, quantitative assessment of their capabilities and exclusive invitations to attend workshops in Houston and Europe.

The result of these interactions with Exprodat’s Strategic Consulting division will see members formulate the most effective and efficient geospatial roadmaps for their companies.

Additionally, GIS Benchmarking Club members will have the option of commissioning an in-depth geospatial audit for their organisation by taking advantage of special rates for expert consultancy, exclusive to the Club.

Thierry Gregorius, Principal Strategic Consultant, explains: “Whenever we work with clients on their geospatial strategy we are always struck by how keen they are in comparing their capabilities and ways of working with peer companies in the industry.

“This is especially true for the ‘softer’ issues like business ownership, geospatial governance, support, resourcing or skills. The GIS Benchmarking Club enables member companies to share best practices and experiences in a face-to-face forum, underpinned by quantitative benchmarks which have been anonymised to preserve trust and confidentiality.”

The launch of the GIS Benchmarking Club will be a workshop in Houston at the end of April 2014.

To sign up for the workshop or to learn more about the benefits of membership to this exclusive club, contact Exprodat on club(at)exprodat(dot)com.
